MissPompadour began as a small concept store in Regensburg – with hand-painted furniture, chalk paints and WhatsApp advice. In 2018, it became one of the most beloved DIY paint brands in the DACH market.
The 130-strong team led by founders Astrid, Erik and Niklas delivers high-quality, water-based paints, accessories, and personalised advice — six days a week, via WhatsApp, email, phone, and social media — to customers across five European countries.
Roughly 90% of their customers are women. Their Facebook group — with over 98,000 members — is a lively space for sharing before-and-after projects, swapping tips, and building real community.
But as reach grew, so did the demands:
With over 1,000 custom-mixed paint cans a day and expanding marketplace sales, pressure on purchasing, warehousing, and customer service intensified.
